Step 5. Scan your entire receipt by taking photos of it. You can take multiple photos if your receipt is long.

Step 6. Sit back and your cashback will be in your Ibotta account within 24 hours (but it usually credits almost instantly)!

You can also earn cashback by linking your store’s loyalty card to your Ibotta account. Ibotta will automatically detect the cashback when you shop with your store’s loyalty card, so you don’t have to scan your receipt.

Online Offers

Ibotta gives cashback when you shop at over 150 online retailers, food delivery services, travel sites, and more.

You can get cashback for your online purchases through the app or your laptop or desktop computer via their Browser Extension.

Once your purchase is confirmed, your cashback will be deposited into your Ibotta account.

Pay With Ibotta

Pay with Ibotta is another way to get even more cashback for doing hardly anything! When you’re shopping at Walmart, The Home Depot or any of the 30+ supported retailers, use Pay With Ibotta to earn extra cashback on top of your existing offers!

Step 1. Shop as you normally would and when your cashier tells you your total, enter it into the Ibotta app.

Step 2. You will be issued a virtual gift card via the app.

Step 3. Show the gift card to the cashier and you’re done!

If you’re using self-checkout, tap “Gift Card” as the payment option and scan the gift card barcode or enter the number manually.

Also, one thing to keep in mind is that you will need to have a payment method on file with Ibotta so that they can generate your gift card.
