The Ultimate Guide To Swagbucks

The Ultimate Guide To Swagbucks

Swagbucks is one of the longest serving and most known ‘get-paid-to’ sites, with hundreds of thousands of users around the world.

It rewards users for a variety of tasks including taking surveys, watching videos, completing offers or shopping at certain stores.

This guide will teach you all you need to know about earning money with Swagbucks.

Signing Up

Swagbucks Sign Up Page

Signing up is easy. Simply click here and fill in the form. Swagbucks is completely free and doesn’t ask for any card details.

You will be asked to complete some information about yourself so Swagbucks can give you personalized offers, which in turn can increase your revenue!

Rewards

Swagbucks pays out in its own currency, ‘SB’. 1000 SB equals $10.00 and you need a minimum of 2000 SB ($20) to cashout.

You can cashout your SB to PayPal, prepaid VISA cards or a huge range of gift cards from stores including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Starbucks and Target.

They also tend to run sales on prepaid VISA cards and gift cards occasionally for 5-20% off, giving you a $25 VISA gift card, for 2175 SB ($21.75).

TIP: Sign up via this link to get 300 SB ($3) FREE once you’ve earned your first 300 SB!

The SwagButton

Download the Swagbutton extension for Firefox or Chrome by clicking here. You’ll instantly receive 50 SB and get a $10 cashback bonus when you spend $25 on a qualifying website (Amazon and eBay included). Sounds pretty good to me!
The Swagbutton gives you a quick rundown of your account, notifies you of cashback opportunities when you’re about to purchase on certain sites and gives easy access to enter Swag Codes – we’ll come on to that a little bit later.

It’s important you download the Swagbutton as it could make a significant part of your revenue.

Surveys

Swagbucks Gold Surveys

Swagbucks, in my experience, is one of the higher paying survey sites, with surveys paying up to 700 SB.

Surveys can be found in the Answer section or in the specific Swagbucks Answer app.

Swagbucks even pays you if you’re disqualified from a survey. Depending on how far you were into the survey before you were disqualified, they’ll give you between 1 and 5 SB for your time.

Cashback

Swagbucks cashback page

As I mentioned earlier, the SwagButton notifies you of cashback when you’re about to checkout on a participating site.

Cashback is paid in the form of SB, of course and can range anywhere between 1% and 12%. For example, eBay will give you 2% cashback, Target will give you 1% cashback and The Home Depot will give you up to 12% cashback, depending on what category you buy from.

Swagbucks will also give you cashback for shopping IN-STORE too! For this to happen, you need to link your debit or credit cards to your Swagbucks account. Don’t worry, they will never charge you. They just need to see that you’ve shopped at a specific store and how much you spent.

There isn’t a huge number of shops available for in-store cashback, with the biggest names being Macy’s, The Body Shop and Shoe Carnival.

Swagbucks also has pages of coupon codes for every retailer which could help to make your purchase cheaper.

As well as via the Swagbutton, the cashback page can be found under ‘Shop’ on the website. But make sure you download the Swagbutton to get your 1000 SB cashback when you spend $25! It’s literally $10 for free!

Offers

The offers usually involve trying a new product whether that be downloading and completing a certain level on a game, signing up for a free trial or making a purchase on a website.

The offers pay pretty well and sometimes you can make quick money on them. Say, for example, Swagbucks will give you 500 SB for making a trial subscription purchase of $1. You can then cancel the subscription and you’ve just made $4!

Swagbucks also integrates with Peanut Labs, Adscend Media, OfferToro and other platforms to bring you even more offers to earn SB from.

Watching Videos

Swagbucks Watch Page

Swagbucks gives you the opportunity to watch videos to earn extra SB. Now, I’m not going to lie, the payment isn’t great. They generally pay you 2 SB to watch a playlist of 40 videos.

If you like the content, then, well, have fun but if not, you could leave it running in the background on your computer and get a few extra SB per day.

Search

Swagbucks Search

If you set Swagbucks as your default search engine, you can rack up a decent number of SB every day. Just use it in the same way you would any other search engine and you’ll be randomly awarded SB.

You won’t earn SB for every search you do but occasionally a reward between 2 and 10 SB will pop up. Just enter the captcha and click claim.

Swagbucks Search also tells you when cashback is available on any of the sites that appear.

The only downside is that Swagbucks uses Yahoo to run its search engine. Be prepared to go back in time.

Also, by coupling Swagbucks with Qmee, this could be an essential daily moneymaker.

Receipts

Download the Swagbucks Answer app and snap your receipts to get SB.

Swagbucks will pay you 2 SB for every grocery receipt you send them. These receipts can be from almost any store, including Walmart, Kroger, Aldi, CVS and Target.

Swag Codes

Swag Codes

Swag Codes are basically coupons for extra SB. They can be found on Swagbucks’ social media platforms and their blog. If you find a code, enter it into the website or Swagbutton to claim your SB.

Swag Codes aren’t always available but you can check if any are via your Swagbutton.

You may also find Swag Codes in Swagbucks Live games.

Swag Ups

Swagbucks Swag Ups

Swagbucks has a tiering system for its members. You’ll start on level 1, and as you earn SB, you’ll level up.

Swag ups are rewards that Swagbucks gives you for reaching a new level.

These rewards are usually rebates on gift cards you redeem, double SB on your next couple of surveys or bonuses for purchasing products through Swagbucks Shopping (earning cashback).

These swag ups can be a fantastic bonus to your income with Swagbucks.

Summary

I think we’ve established Swagbucks can be a pretty good way to make money online.

Within 3 days of using Swagbucks for approximately half an hour a day, I’ve earned $15.
